A special episode about a special film!

The Real-life Indiana Jones, Dr. Gary Stickel, and Hollywood legend, Michael R. Miller, join Sean Marlon Newcombe to discuss the Coen Brothers 2001 film, O Brother, Where Art Thou?

Based on Homer's Odyssey, O Brother, Where Art Thou? tells the story of three convicts who escape from a chain gang (one of whom is named "Ulysses," the Latin/Roman form of "Odysseus") and their (mis)adventures as they seek their freedom.   The film was an instant classic and has been discussed and dissected in the decades since.  We'll look a little differently-- from both a cinematic and scholarly standpoint.

But always with an eye on fun! ;-)

Dr. Gary Stickel is a Homeric expert well versed in The Odyssey, while Michael Miller is a legendary film editor who worked with the Coen Brothers on such films as Miller's Crossing (which bears his name) and Raising Arizona.  What a great combination!

So join us, please, as we take a look at the film O Brother,  Where Art Thou?-- See you in Hollywoodland!
